About "The Sundook"

The Sundook is the brainchild of a smalltown boy 'Mudit', a young entrepreneur who is passionate about promoting Indian crafts and supporting local craftsmen. Mudit has always been fascinated by the rich cultural heritage of India and he wanted to create a space where people can appreciate and celebrate the beauty of Indian handicrafts. He is on a mission to travel to various parts of India, from the deserts of Rajasthan to the lush forests of Kerala, in search of unique and exquisite crafts created by skilled Indian artisans.

Mudit is determined to ensure that the craftsmen who create these beautiful pieces receive their fair share of recognition and support. He personally visits the workshops and villages where these crafts are made, and forms direct partnerships with the artisans, providing them with fair wages and empowering them to preserve their traditional craft techniques.

Mudit has opened The Sundook not just thinking it as a store - but as a platform for promoting Indian crafts and supporting local artisans and creating a positive impact on the lives of numerous Indian craftsmen and their families. He visions The Sundook to become a symbol of pride for Indian crafts all over the world and a testament to the power of entrepreneurship in supporting traditional art forms.
